Foraging in Iceland: Yarrow
Despite the scarcity and starkness of the Icelandic landscape, I’ve bumped into a number of herbs that grows in wild abundance. Yarrow skin washes and leaf poultices can staunch bleeding and help to disinfect cuts and scrapes, slows down heavy menstruation, and expels toxin.
omg, i want this.
Top: Sigil (Fire) Cider
I’m making up a batch of this immune buster. Seriously for those who have the winter blues and sniffles. It is a commitment.
Bottom: Nature’s Flu Shot
Seriously, this little drink blows your mind. The pineapple adds a subtle cooling flavor to the hot and spicy of the garlic and cayenne. I would not recommend this immune booster if you have a sensitive digestive system or have a hot constitution in your gut. Rather, I would stick to cooling digestive herbs like Echinacea, lemon balm with some mango.
